Langata Legal Aid Centre is a registered Community Based Organization started by trained paralegals and community members in 3rd October 2017. The group realized the need to provide legal advice to marginalized communities initially in Kibra but has since expanded to cover the entire Nairobi County, Kenya through Paralegals Network.
Langata Legal Aid Centre supports the poor and marginalized in access to justice and to realize respect for human rights through advocacy, networking, lobbying, legal Aid, representation, advocacy, litigation and research.

Judith Adhiambo Ochieng
Founder and Executive Director
Judith is a Legal Aid Practitioner. She holds a BA in Sustainable Human Development, Diploma in Social work, Certificate in Counselling and Paralegal Studies. She is experienced in coordination of Legal Advisory Centre through Legal legal aid and awareness , Human rights organization development, partnership and networking at national and international.
Effie Lwova Kirui
Effie holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law. She coordinates programmatic and administrative activities of the organization. She brings to the team her technical and legal expertise on human rights and social justice. She has a strong bias towards the marginalized and derives satisfaction from finding lasting solutions to their problems. She has experience and knowledge in human rights and good governance.
Ingrid Rose Owele
Legal / Program Officer
Owele is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a certified professional mediator and a graduate from the University of Nairobi. She has experience in legal drafting, legal research, legal consulting, civil and commercial litigation, conveyancing transactions and family law.
Samfelix O. Randa
Samfelix holds a degree in Communication and Media Technology with IT from Maseno University. He executes communication functions including programs documentation, social media management and website development.
Meet Our Paralegals
Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Daystar University. She joined LLAC in October 2018 after undergoing paralegal training. She advises community members on human rights issues and is involved in general activities of the Organization. Besides community engagement, she also conducts research on relevant laws and regulations and assists in documentation.

He is a Paralegal and theologian ,he brings in skills on Community mobilization and public speaking
Janet Wanzuu Muinde
Janet is a trained Migrant Paralegal and a qualified medical practioner who believes that every person has rights. She was awarded as the best performer in the year 2016-2017 by Legal Resources Foundation and International Organization for Migration. She has acquired more knowledge and experience from Arrow Africa and Langata Legal Aid Centre on reproductive health matters.
